Spend about five hours riding well-tamed horses near Puerto Escondido, with a 3:00 pm pickup and sunset views along the Oaxacan Coast. You’ll learn basic western riding, local flora and fauna, and the horse’s role in Mexican history. Juan Carlos has provided riding tips, hats, bandanas, beer, and water on some outings. The route may include Laguna Manialtepec and a river crossing, but confirm beach access before booking.

“Absolutely wonderful trip in the most beautiful surroundings. Everything was perfect. We rode through fields, across a river (the horses swam over while we got a boat) with mountains as a backdrop until we reached the beach. We stopped there to eat in a small restaurant while we watched the sun go down over the Pacific ocean. Our guide Juan Carlos was fantastic giving us advice on riding western style, information about the flora and fauna and providing hats, bandanas, beer and water where needed. Fully recommend this trip.”
